We began class by doing the Vocabulary in Practice activity at the top of page 609 in our "Warm-ups" section. Then, after finishing MLK's "I Have a Dream," we examined the speech, finding and copying down an example of each of the following:

• Parallelism
• Repetition
• Analogy
• Loaded Language
• At least two of the Persuasive Appeals (from page 596)

Students should finish this for HW if necessary.
