The Final Portfolio
Today I introduced the final portfolio assignment and students had the whole period to work. This assignment will be completed in class on the day of the final exam.

Essay Evaluation
Today I stamped essay rough drafts. Students spent the rest of the period evaluation and revising their rough drafts. Typed final drafts in MLA format with a rough draft, essay worksheets, and act summaries are due Monday 6/11.

Rough Drafts
Today we looked at an example of a good body paragraph and students had the rest of the period to work on their body paragraphs. Many students moved on to the conclusion which should be completed for homework.

Worksheet 2 & The Intro
Today we wrote thesis statements in the warm up and students spent the period on worksheet #2. They should write their introductory paragraphs for homework.

The Final Essay Begins
Today we started with a theme-focused warm-up. Then, after going over Fridays HW (the after reading questions on p. 1050), students started the first essay handout (below) which they should finish for homework if necessary.
