Today we practiced analyzing claim and support with a couple short articles on cyberbullying. After that, and a few more examples, we went over the homework from last night, especially number 4, which students had a chance to work on in class.

Unit 6

Today we got started with Unit 6, taking the notes from page 594, and then working with the text on page 595. Students read the text, paraphrasing the claim and summarizing the author's reasons and evidence in a graphic organizer like the one on page 594. They should finish this, along with Close Read #4, for homework.
